Locating the scanned barcodes on the Motorolla CS3000 and CS3070

1. Remove the plastic case at the base of the scanner that is hiding the plug.
2. Plug the cord into the scanner, then into the USB slot on your computer.

On a Mac

In the Finder, select "New Finder Window"

You will locate the USB mounted drive under "Devices" and will be called something like "CS3070"

Click on it, then double click to open the "Scanned Barcodes" folder.
Double click the "BARCODE.TXT" file to open the file.

In the above example you can see how the data is formatted. there is one line for each scan that includes a date, time, device id and barcode. Each is separated by a comma.

It's very important to test your scanner occasionally to confirm it has the correct date and time.

In this case you can see we did some scanning on 10-07-12, at 1:19 PM.

The last thing you will need to do is to safely eject the disk from your computer.

Go back to the Finder window to find the "CS3070" Ctrl-click on it and choose the "Eject CS3070" option (or simply click the eject button to the right).

Now it safe to remove from the scanner from the computer.

Windows

This will be mounted as a removable USB storage devise.
To find it click "Start" then "My Computer"
It will be listed under removable storage devises and be called something like "CS3070 E:"

Double click to open and there will be two folders.

Double click the "Scanned Barcodes" folder to open.

Inside of that is the file you are looking for called "BARCODES.TXT"
Double click the "BARCODES.TXT" to open.
